Irrfan Khan's spokesperson smashes reports of him receiving any kind of help from Shah Rukh Khan in London

Internationally acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan has been in London for treatement ever since he announced his 'rare illness' to the world in March 2018.

A few days ago an entertainment portal called SpotboyE.com reported that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who knows Irrfan from their theatre days, had dropped by his Mumbai home to spend time with the ailing actor, before he left for the British capital. It was said that he had generously handed over the keys of his London residence to Irrfan so that he and his family could feel at home while he gets his treatment in the foreign land.

The report stated that Irrfan's wife Sutapa Sikdar had called SRK and confided in him a day before flying to London and that's when the 'Zero' star had apparently rushed to Irrfan's residence.

However, it turns out that the story of Shah Rukh Khan meeting Irrfan Khan and offering the keys of his London house to the latter holds no truth. Irrfan’s spokesperson released an official statement today which outright denies the occurence of any such incident.

It states,“The story floating around of Shahrukh and Irrfan is a fragment of imagination of some individual who has whipped out the story through their unreliable sources. It has no truth to it. While the duo are friends, the story of their meeting and the subsequent incidents has no truth.

Well, well another case of fake news it seems.

Meanwhile, Irrfan is recuperating from neuroendocrine tumour and is reportedly responding well to the treatment. IIFA recently awarded him in the Best Performance in a Leading Role (Male) category for his performance in Hindi Medium. The actor took to Twitter on Tuesday morning and wrote, “Thank you to @IIFA and our audience who have been part for my journey #IIFA2018.”
