'Laila Majnu' teaser showcases picturesque re-telling of classic love story
The teaser for modern re-telling of the classic story of Laila Majnu released on Friday. Produced by Imtiaz Ali and Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures, the movie is scheduled to release on August 24th, 2018.
The 56-seconds-long teaser is attached to Veere Di Wedding which released on Friday.
From the looks of the trailer, the movie is set in the valley and follows the age-old love story of Laila and Majnu. For the entire length of the teaser, viewers are treated to the beautiful shots of the quaint village (possibly near Indo-Pak border) but the makers have done a masterful job of keeping the secret alive of the story everyone knows.

The details about the cast are still under wraps but Imtiaz Ali, who also wrote the script, said in a statement, "Laila Majnu is an eternal story of everlasting love. It’s perhaps the most popular love story of all times. For the film, we wanted a fresh approach in all aspects - a fresh cast, a fresh script and a fresh setting. We had a great experience making the film and can’t wait to showcase it to the world."
