Watch: When France v/s Argentina at FIFA World Cup was more important than Wimbledon for Andy Murray

Andy Murray is returning to Grand Slam scene after spending 11 months on sidelines recovering from hip surgery. Murray, due to face France's Benoit Paire in the first round, was out on the All England Club practice courts on Saturday.

After the practice, he addressed the media. But just like every other football fan on the planet, he too was eager to get back to watching the first game of knock round of FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia. It was a riveting display of skills from France's teenager Kylian Mbappe who scored two goals in the span of mere four minutes to send Lionel Messi's Argentina back home.

During the chat with the journalists, Murray was more curious to know the score than answer the questions about his return and upcoming Wimbledon tournament. In a video shared by the official Twitter handle of Wimbledon, the 31-year-old is seen asking for the score.

"I can't believe I am missing this match!" said Murray. "What's the score? Is it like 4-2 or something?"

"What's the score?"

"3-2, France," said one of the reporters in the room.

Murray suggested that they should just go finish watching the match.

Andy Murray, whose ranking has dropped to 156, had an operation on his right hip in January and only returned to action on June 18 when he was beaten by Nick Kyrgios at Queen's Club. Despite the lack of practice, he wants to give it a go at Wimbledon.

"Yeah, unless in the next couple of days I wake up and don't feel good. I mean, through all of this, I have to view it very much day by day, just as a process," Murray told the press conference.

"I'm practising at a high level, a high intensity every day with some of the best players in the world.

"That's really positive for me as part of getting better, to compete again," said the Scot.
