Now, software to approve your driving licence in Rajasthan RTOs
Driving licences will now be generated using technology in the Rajasthan RTOs. No officer will check your driving now, instead, the driving will be checked by a software. The Transport Department has created a software for the same which will ensure an automatic driving test. An automated driving track is also being prepared for the same. The track will feature 24 CCTV cameras, boom barrier and reader to carry out proper driving tests.
The task to create and set up this software has been given to a company named Smart Chip Private Limited. The main motive of connecting the driving tests to software is to ensure stopping forgery at the time of making a licence. Along with this, the speed of operation will also increase and there will be transparency in the work as well. Both the two wheelers and four wheelers will have to go through four types of tests to get the licence made.
Speaking on this initiative taken by the government for improving road safety and preventing accidents, RTO Kalpana Agrawal said, “Now, getting the licence made will not be easy. Only the perfect drivers will be able to get a licence. Many complaints were recorded previously regarding forgery in making licences, but now all these complaints will diminish and road accidents can also be reduced”.
At present, the services will be started in 13 districts, and then will be implemented in the whole state soon. Technical Engineer of the company creating the track Dharamveer Singh Choudhary said, “The first track for this is being created in Jaipur and the work will be done in other cities soon. This initiative will improve driving in Rajasthan.” Now, we will have to see if the experiment being done by the government will be successful or not.
