Rajasthan: Charbhuja Temple basking in festivities
Charbhuja Temple has become a hive of activity overnight. The place was basking in festivities on Friday, the penultimate day as about 12 hours from now, chief minister Vasundhara Raje will be coming here to offer prayers just before starting the Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra. Rajsamand, where the temple is situated, is a small city that hits the hay after 9 pm darshan, a custom that keeps people awake waiting under trees and at shops.
On Friday as everyone waited for the darshan, the discussion about CM Raje visiting the temple was central to everybody’s talk. The locals are all excited about Raje’s visit, who will be starting her third yatra from this famous temple.
“She came here first with Advaniji in 2003 then in 2013 Rajnath Singh came along with the CM, and this time Amit Shah is expected here,” said a priest. Inside the temple complex hectic preparations were underway. The temple dome was washed with water while marble flooring work is also underway. Work on the newly constructed road leading to the temple is still being done along with stone work outside the temple. This is not it, tree guards made of stone have also been readied. The shops inside the temple premises have been decorated with BJP flags and saffron colour.
“It will be a one hour puja. Last time as well it lasted for the same duration,” said another priest.
The locals inform that in the wake of the CM’s visit a lot of work has been done in the temple and in the surrounding area.
The temple dates back to the times of Pandavas who had during their journey visited the temple of lord Vishnu.
