Denied permission to do Ganesh procession in 'sensitive area', BJP's H Raja lashes out at 'anti-Hindu' TN Police

Senior BJP leader H Raja lashed out at police personnel over their Ganesh Chaturthi procession route in Pudokottai district of Tamil Nadu on Saturday and called the police ‘anti-Hindu and corrupt’ when denied permission. The BJP national secretary H Raja wanted to take out a Ganesh procession through the Pudukkottai district. When denied entry, he called the police ‘corrupt’ and even insulted the Madras High Court.

He was caught on camera abusing the police and even using an unparliamentary phrase for the judiciary. Two days ago, the district of Pudukkottai had witnessed communal clashes on Ganesh Chaturthi. The route he wanted to take is considered a 'sensitive area'.

The police reportedly requested Raja to take a separate route, but Raja refused. He wanted to talk to the people there and said: "We know that certain communities are giving you bribe so for the sake of the Hindus even I am ready to give you the bribe so allow us to set up the stage and talk to the people."
