Warning graphic content: Video of cop's son assaulting woman in Delhi goes viral; case registered
The West Delhi police have registered an FIR against one Rohit Singh Tomar after a woman filed a complaint following a viral video doing the rounds where Tomar is seen brutally assaulting another woman.
The cops have said that they have taken stern action. "A case under section 354/506 IPC has already been registered against Rohit Tomar. Further action is being taken to arrest him."

According to a report in The Print, the accused, Tomar, the son of a policeman, had assaulted the woman to scare his ex-girlfriend, who happens to be the complainant, into marrying him.
That report has also identified Tomar as Rohit Chaudhary, the son of Delhi police sub-inspector Ashok Kumar Chaudhary.

The woman filed the complaint after Tomar sent her a video 15 days ago that showed him assaulting a woman. He had allegedly threatened that she would meet the same fate if she did not marry him.
The video found its way to a Facebook page called ‘Turban and Beard’ on Thursday, and went viral.
A case has been registered against Tomar at the Tilak Nagar police station, and investigations are on.
