Rajasthan government hurries up to give mobiles via camps
To cash in on the Bhamashah Digital Family Scheme, the state government has prepared a plan to give smartphones to the beneficiaries of the Bhamashah Scheme before the code of conduct comes into force. The state government has instructed JMC to distribute mobile phones by setting up camps in all 91 wards of the city on Monday.
According to sources, the code of conduct for assembly elections in the state is likely to be implemented by the end of next week and before that the state government wants to pass on the benefit to as many beneficiaries as possible. Therefore, district collectors have been asked to organise the camps. It was a few days ago that district collector had instructed JMC to organise camps under Bhamashah Digital Family Scheme.
JMC has prepared a programme of ward-wise camp where the Bhamashah scheme will be promoted. JMC is preparing pamphlets and hoardings for the same which will have the picture of CM Vasundhara Raje, mayor Ashok Lahoti and BJP councillor of the particular ward printed on it. The pamphlets will have all the information related to the scheme and will be distributed across the city so that more and more people can get a mobile phone. Under the scheme, mobile phones will be distributed to 7,14,000 families in Jaipur district. The state government will deposit Rs 1,000 in the bank account linked with Bhamashah scheme of each family connected with the National Food Security Scheme.
