Amber is a crowd-puller, sees nearly 14k visitors each day

Since it’s holiday time right from Monday to Sunday for a large number of people across the country, the ones coming to Jaipur are making a beeline to Amber Fort.
The visitors have been making the most of their time in Jaipur and till the time holidays last this week, they are visiting several tourist attractions in the city. Such was the condition of visitors coming to the fort on Saturday that the road leading to Amber Fort saw traffic jams many times during the day.
A day earlier, on Friday which was Bhai Dooj, 12,332 visitors went to see the world famous fort. Out of these, 10,490 were Indians while 1842 were foreign tourists. On the Goverdhan Day too, 9568 tourists visited the fort. Out of these, 7632 were Indians while the rest 1936 were foreign tourists.
Even on Diwali day, a large number of visitors visited the fort, the number was, however, less than what is being seen this weekend. On Diwali, 7039 visitors came to visit the Amber Fort. These included 4971 Indian visitors while 2068 were foreign tourists. Before Diwali, on November 5 on Dhanteras, 5957 visitors visited the fort. The tourism experts inform that due to magnificent structure of the fort, every person visiting Jaipur has Amber Fort on number 1 in his/her to-do list.
While the numbers are high, there is, however, need is being felt for more parking space at Amber Fort. As it was witnessed during December last year, jams were seen on the road which leads to Amber. On Saturday, tourist footfall at the fort was recorded at 14,791.
