In a bid to make commuter life better, the Indian Railways over the weekend introduced the see-through Vistadome coaches on the Kalka-Shimla rail route in Himachal Pradesh.
This isn't the first route that has these coaches. The route between Visakhapatnam and Araku Valley in Andhra Pradesh also gives passengers a picturesque travel thanks to the open air-like feel these coaches provide.
There are similar coaches in Sri Lanka between Colombo and Kandy. While a road trip between the two towns is approximately one and a half hours, the rail jounrey can go up to three hours because the tran moves slowly, giving tourists a view that they will never forget.
