Meant to commute, low-floor buses turn into fight clubs in Rajasthan

A day after a low-floor bus driver beat a woman and video of the same went viral, two more videos floated on Friday wherein two female bus conductors are seen in a spat with the passengers. While the first incident occurred in Sanganer where the female conductor beat a student, the second incident occurred in Jhotwara area. In the first incident, the police were informed and the female conductor was handed over to the cops by the passengers.

The first incident occurred in the morning at Sanganer. “A female student was travelling by the low-floor bus and took a ticket. However, the conductor did not return the entire sum back which was due to the student on the purchase of a ticket. A spat thus occurred over the remaining change and in a fit of rage, the female conductor – identified as one Suman Meena – started beating the student. On seeing this, the passengers immediately responded and forced the driver to stop the moving bus. The passengers stopped the conductor from beating the student and informed the Sanganer police. After the police team reached the spot, the conductor was handed over to the cops and a case was registered in the matter,” officials said.

Meanwhile, in the second incident, the female conductor of bus 6A passing through Jhotwara took the fare from passengers for the ticket, however, she did not issue the ticket. This irked the passengers who confronted the conductor and a verbal spat occurred between the passengers and the conductor. The video shows that the spat continued for some time and then ended.

Notably, a shocking video went viral on Thursday, wherein the driver of a low floor bus was seen brutally beating a female passenger using a leather belt. The man even forcefully threw the woman on the bus floor. The passengers had claimed that the woman had sat in the bus with a view to commit pick-pocketing. However, after the incident, the woman did not approach the cops but after the viral video was forwarded to the authorities, immediately the driver was suspended from service.

Second Incident

Meanwhile, in the second incident, the female conductor of bus 6A passing through Jhotwara took the fare from passengers for the ticket, however, she did not issue the ticket. This irked the passengers who confronted the conductor and a verbal spat occurred.
