The Prime Minister will launch the country's first ever cooperative society of farmers under the Gujarat government's SKY scheme in Anand. Other projects under the GCMMF, with a total investment of Rs 1,120 crore, will also be launched. These include production of milk powder, ghee and butter at Bhat village near Gandhinagar, an ice cream plant at Vidya Nagar, a cheese plant at Khatraj and a packaging plant at Anand. He will also electronically lay the foundation stone of a dairy project in Kolkata by Amul, and an incubation centre-cum-centre of excellence in food processing prepared by the Anand Agricultural University. He is also expected to address a rally here.
He will then head to Rajkot where he will inaugurate the newly-built Mahatma Gandhi Museum at Alfred High School.
