Double murder case: Families of deceased caught in infighting
In a double murder case of south and North-West Delhi, the family one of the deceased, Anurag, has alleged that the family of another deceased, Sahil, had a role to play in what looks like a murder.
Anurag’s grandmother Leela (70), who is partially blind, said that her daughter Sunita, came along with her husband, son and his friend Jimmy to his Bharat Nagar residence around 3.30 pm and informed them about Anurag’s death. She alleged that initially, her son-in-law lied her and said that Anurag had died after falling off the terrace, but later Sunita informed her that Anurag died due to gunshot.
“My son-in-law came and we offered him tea. My grandson Ashu made tea for him. Meanwhile, Sunita was in the car itself. After having tea, he said Anu fell of the terrace and died. They brought his body inside the house. A few minutes later, Sunita came and told us he was shot dead and didn’t fall,” Leela said.
However, Anurag’s brother Ashu claimed that the lie from his aunt raised questions and he suspected that his brother had been murdered. “Her other son is in jail for a murder. We strongly suspect the role of Abhishek,” Ashu said.
Based on Sunita’s complaint, the south Delhi police have registered a murder case against deceased Sahil. “Enquiry has revealed that Sahil and Anurag were alone at the time of the incident. Sahil called Anurag an alcohol addict after which an argument ensued between the two and Sahil shot him,” said deputy commissioner of police, South Vijay Kumar.
